Amendment III

"No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."

This amendment may seem very odd and peculiar at first but for the people of the time when it was ratified in 1791, it was a way to ensure and ease the people about military presence. When it was still the 13 colonies England had soldiers living in citizens houses allowing the government access, invading the privacy of their homes.
